*As our village school may become available for community ownership at some point now that it has been mothballed by Dumfries and Galloway Council, a group has been formed to discuss the possible uses for the building in such an event. Anyone who has thoughts on the issue should attend a meeting of the Kirkbean Community Council which will have an ongoing point of attention on the issue. You can be put into contact with the group through that forum.*
